Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Royyaa when you use the Royyaa app, website or admin portal. Plain language, and short where it can be.

Last updated September 22, 2026

The agreement

By creating an account or using Royyaa, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. If you use Royyaa on behalf of a masjid, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and your email address current — receipts and account notices go there. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity under it.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit profile → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. What survives it, and why, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

What Royyaa is

Royyaa is software that connects you with masajid: prayer times, events, announcements, giving, membership, and the optional prayer display. Each masjid is an independent organisation. It sets its own prayer times, runs its own events and campaigns, decides its own membership tiers, and is responsible for what it publishes and for the programmes it runs.

Royyaa is not the charity. When you give, the money is for the masjid you chose. We provide the software that carries it there; we do not decide how it is spent, and we cannot promise a particular use of any gift.

Prayer times shown in the app are calculated from the method and parameters your masjid has configured. They are provided for convenience and are not a religious ruling; where the app and your masjid disagree, your masjid is right.

Giving

Gifts are voluntary and are processed by Stripe. Authorising one charges your chosen payment method for the amount shown before you confirm.

  • Gifts are generally final. Charity is disbursed and committed quickly, so we do not offer a general right to a refund. If something went wrong — a duplicate charge, a wrong amount, a mistake — contact your masjid or write to us and we will try to put it right.
  • Receipts and tax.Any receipt or year-end statement comes from the masjid that received the gift. Whether it is tax-deductible depends on that masjid's status and your circumstances, not on Royyaa.
  • Fees. Payment processing costs, and any platform fee a masjid has agreed with us, are disclosed where they apply. The amount you authorise is the amount charged to you.

Recurring giving

A recurring gift repeats at the cadence you chose until you stop it. You can cancel at any time from Profile → Giving history & receipts → Manage or cancel, which opens Stripe's own billing page. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund past ones.

Deleting your account cancels recurring giving automatically before anything else is removed.

Event tickets

Events are run by masajid, which set capacity, pricing and any age or gender restrictions. Buying a ticket is a purchase from that masjid.

  • Cancelling: you can cancel a paid ticket for a refund in the app up to 48 hours before the event starts. After that the sale is final, because the masjid has already committed to catering and space.
  • If the masjid cancels an event, it is responsible for refunding tickets.
  • Financial aid requests are decided by the masjid, not by Royyaa.

Memberships

Some masajid offer membership tiers with dues. A membership is an agreement between you and that masjid: it sets the price, the cadence and whatever the membership includes, and it provides those benefits in its own community. Royyaa only collects the dues on its behalf and records them.

Questions about what a membership includes, or requests to change or end one, go to your masjid.

Prayer displays

The Royyaa prayer display is optional hardware that shows your masjid's prayer times. Pairing links it to your account; you can unpair it at any time, and deleting your account revokes its credentials.

It needs power and, periodically, a network connection to stay accurate. Do not rely on it as your only source of prayer times, and keep its firmware current. Any hardware warranty is whatever came with the unit you bought.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • use someone else's account, or give false information about who you are;
  • use Royyaa to break the law, to harass anyone, or to attempt fraud;
  • interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or try to access records that are not yours;
  • scrape, resell or redistribute the service or its content;
  • upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to upload.

Found a security problem? Write to hello@royyaa.com before disclosing it, and we will work with you.

For masajid

If you administer a masjid on Royyaa, you are additionally responsible for the accuracy of what you publish, for the lawfulness of how you use member information, for honouring the refunds these terms require, and for who on your team holds access. Remove access promptly when someone leaves your team.

Our content and yours

Royyaa, its software, design and brand belong to Royyaa. You may use the service as intended; that is the extent of the licence.

What you upload — your photo, your masjid's event images, your descriptions — remains yours. You grant us the licence needed to host and display it inside the service, and you confirm you have the right to upload it.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Royyaa and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, that is used fraudulently, or where the law requires it — with notice where we reasonably can.

If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice so masajid can export what they need.

Disclaimers

Royyaa is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that prayer times, event details or campaign information published by a masjid are accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Royyaa is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts located there, and you and Royyaa consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes with them, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Royyaa after a change means you accept the updated terms.
